About HIAFFF

The origin of the word "animation" is "anima" which means "soul" and "animate" which means "inspire" "living". These sentiments are the same as though expressed in folktales, fables, myth, legend, and folkways.
Spiritual Ideals inspired creations of mythcal heros and heroines who inspire the power of life in us. Today the Japanease animation industry is popularly accepted world wide. In addition, innovative techniques are increasing the possibilities of expressiveness for the animation industry.
The Hida rigion is filled with traditional tales and genealogy. Recent movies, games, and animation have included the motifs of traditional fables and folktales.
HIAFFF will explose the relationships between old and new, and the possibilities these relationships hold for the future.
