It is one month more until the deadline of The 8th Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables.　The Hida-Consortium (Hida Earth Wisdom Center)will hold The 8 th Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables during Hida International Animation Festival of Folktales and Fables. The goal of the contest is to unearth promising new animation artists and support them in their future endeavors.
 There were as many as 126 entries from 16 countries and regions around the world in The 7th Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables, and the Contest's popularity has been steadily increasing among people both in Japan and abroad.

<Awards and Prize Money>

• Selection committee
  Two awards, the "Grand Prix" and "Semi Grand Prix" will be selected by a committee of intellectuals.
• Prize Money
  Grand Prix (1 entry): 1,000,000 yen prize money
  Semi Grand Prix (1 entry): 500,000 yen prize money
• Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables: Children's Selection Committee
  Children will select animations that they just "want to see again," or were "impressed with," based on their own fresh feeling of sensitivity.
